How to Easily Get to Universal Studios from Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Getting to Universal Studios from Cabana Bay Beach Resort is a breeze. Whether you prefer to walk, take a shuttle, or use public transportation, there are plenty of options available to ensure that you arrive at the park quickly and easily.

If you're up for a little exercise, walking to Universal Studios is a great option. The walk from Cabana Bay to the park takes about 20 minutes via the Garden Walkway, and it's a pleasant stroll through lush greenery. If you don't feel like walking, you can always take the Universal Cabana Bay Shuttle, which runs every 15-20 minutes and is free for resort guests.

Uber/Lyft are also available and typically cost around $7-$10 for the short trip to the park. No matter how you choose to get there, you're sure to have a great time at Universal Studios.

Transportation Options

When staying at Cabana Bay Beach Resort, you have several transportation options to get to Universal Studios. Here are the different ways you can travel from the resort to the theme parks:

Walking Route

If you prefer to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery, you can take the walking route to Universal Studios. The walking path, also known as Garden Walkway, is a scenic route that takes you from the resort to the theme parks. The walking time is approximately 20-25 minutes, and it's a great way to start your day with some exercise.

Bus Ride

Universal Orlando Resort has established a network of shuttle buses that run continuously between the hotels and the general guest drop-off area near the Universal parking garages. These buses are ADA compatible and operate from one hour before Early Park Admission begins until 2:00 am every single day. The Superstar Shuttle is also available for guests staying at Cabana Bay, which provides transportation to and from the airport.

Taxi and Uber

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or Uber to Universal Studios. The distance from Cabana Bay to the theme parks is approximately 1.5 miles, and the ride takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis and Ubers are available at the front entrance of the resort.

Self-Parking

If you have a car, you can opt to self-park at Universal Studios. The parking garages are conveniently located near the theme parks, and there is a fee for parking. However, if you stay at Cabana Bay, you can purchase a parking pass that allows you to park at the theme parks for a discounted rate.

Staying at Other Universal Orlando Resort Hotels

If you are staying at another Universal Orlando Resort hotel, like Sapphire Falls, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, or Hard Rock Hotel, you can easily get to Universal Studios from Cabana Bay Beach Resort. All Universal Orlando Resort hotels offer complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the parks, including Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay.

In addition to the shuttle service, guests of Universal Orlando Resort hotels also have access to Early Park Admission, allowing you to enter the parks one hour before they open to the general public. This is a great perk if you want to ride popular attractions like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey or Despicable Me Minion Mayhem without long lines.

If you want to visit other Universal Orlando Resort hotels, keep in mind that you will need to have your current, valid room key with you from your hotel. You cannot use a key from a previous stay. Some hotel amenities, like the bowling alley at Cabana Bay Beach Resort, may also be restricted to guests of that specific hotel.
