Walt Disney World recently announced the return of the ability to purchase a new Annual Pass starting on April 20, 2023 “no earlier than 6 a.m. EST” according to Disney. The Disney Incredi-Pass, priced at $1,399, is the only Walt Disney World Annual Pass available to those who do not live in Florida and is also the most comprehensive annual pass option for Disney World enthusiasts.

But, is it worth it? In this article, we'll delve into the benefits of the Incredi-Pass, compare it to regular ticket prices, and help you determine whether this pass is the right choice for you or your family. Try out our calculator to determine if an Annual Pass will save you money!

*Before we jump in, one often overlooked detail: An Annual Pass is not activated until your first use at a park. The pass is available for 365 days thereafter. So if you purchase an Annual Pass on April 20, 2023 when they go on sale but don’t visit your first park with your Pass until June 1, 2023, the pass will not be activated and your 365 day clock will not begin until June 1, 2023!*

Disney Incredi-Pass Benefits

The Disney Incredi-Pass offers a host of benefits that can enhance your Disney World experience:

  1. No blockout dates: The Incredi-Pass allows you to visit any of the four theme parks on any day of the year without restrictions.

  2. Park Hopper: This pass includes Park Hopper access, which means you can visit multiple parks on the same day.

  3. Standard theme park parking: Enjoy complimentary parking at all Disney World theme parks, saving you both time and money ($25.00 per day savings!)

  4. Disney PhotoPass downloads for $99 (plus tax): Capture your magical moments with unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads for the entire year. Memory Maker purchased before a typical trip is $169.00

  5. Exclusive discounts: Receive up to 20% off select dining locations and up to 20% off select merchandise purchases.

  6. Special event invitations: Get access to unique events and experiences reserved exclusively for Annual Passholders.

  7. Resort hotel discounts: Enjoy discounts on select resort hotel stays, helping you save even more during your Disney vacations.

Cost Analysis:

To determine if the Incredi-Pass is worth it, let's compare its cost to that of regular tickets. For this analysis, we'll assume a 4-day ticket without Park Hopper costs $540 for an adult, and a 4-day ticket with Park Hopper costs $630 for an adult.

At $1,399 for the Incredi-Pass, you'd need to visit the parks for at least 13 days without Park Hopper or 11 days with Park Hopper to break even compared to purchasing individual tickets.

Break-even point: 13 days (without Park Hopper) or 11 days (with Park Hopper)

This is where most stop in determining whether it’s “worth it” but don’t forget to consider the discounts! For example, if you drive or rent a car while at Walt Disney World, how will that benefit or impact your vacation? If you drive to the park and save $25 per day it can be a great benefit for your family.

Dining, merchandise and room discounts can also add up quickly. Consider if the average adult spends a conservative $800 on food and merchandise on a 8-day vacation at Walt Disney World. If discounts are applied at 20%, that’s an additional $160 in savings.

Room discounts vary and are subject to availability by resort and dates provided by Walt Disney World and are hard to count on for purposes of these evaluations, but they should certainly be considered. Right now Walt Disney World offers the following promotion for “up to” 35% off on select rooms for July 11, 2023 through September 2023.”

The Disney Incredi-Pass offers an array of benefits that can make your Disney World experience more enjoyable and cost-effective. If you plan to visit the parks for more than 11 days with Park Hopper access or 13 days without Park Hopper, the Incredi-Pass is likely worth it. Additionally, the exclusive discounts, special events, and Disney PhotoPass savings add extra value that can enhance your Disney experience. If you are in the range of 7-11 expected vacation days, consider the extra discounts when analyzing whether it’s a fit for your family. Ultimately, the decision to purchase the Incredi-Pass depends on your individual preferences and how often you plan to visit Disney World.
